Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

RêgaGo (regago.com) is a peer-to-peer car and equipment rental marketplace for Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, operated by KANZ ALRAEAN, Erbil, Iraq. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and mobile apps, and how we use and protect it. Contact us any time at support@regago.com.

2. Information we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, phone number, and a securely hashed password. • Identity verification: photos of your ID document and, where provided, your date of birth. These are required before booking to keep the marketplace safe. • Listings and bookings: the cars or equipment you list, booking dates, delivery address and, if you choose to share it, your GPS location for delivery. • Messages: conversations with our support team and booking-related messages inside the platform. • Signatures: the digital signature you draw when signing a rental agreement. • Technical data: basic logs (IP address, device type, app version) needed to run and secure the service.

3. How we use your information

• To create and secure your account, and to sign you in by email or phone code. • To verify your identity before bookings, as a safety requirement. • To process bookings, rental agreements, deliveries and payouts. • To send you service messages — verification codes by email or WhatsApp, booking updates and reminders. • To answer your questions through live chat, WhatsApp or email. • To prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and keep the community safe. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. What we share and with whom

• With the other party of a booking: only what is needed (your first name, the booking details, and your phone number so the handover can happen). • With our staff: bookings are reviewed and approved manually by authorized staff. • With service providers that help us operate: our hosting provider, email delivery, and Meta (WhatsApp) when you choose to receive codes by WhatsApp. They receive only what is necessary to deliver the service. • With authorities: only if required by applicable law.

5. How we protect your data

All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as strong one-way hashes. Verification documents are stored outside the public web space and are accessible only after an authorization check. Access to personal data is limited to authorized staff.

6. How long we keep it

Your data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account (available in the app and on the website), it is deactivated immediately and permanently erased after a 30-day recovery window, except for records we must keep for legal or fraud-prevention reasons.

7. Your rights

You can view and correct your profile information in the app at any time. You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or delete your account entirely — either in the app or by contacting support@regago.com. We answer requests in Arabic, Kurdish or English.

8. Children

RêgaGo is intended for adults. You must be of legal driving age to rent, and 18 or older to create an account.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and show the new date at the top. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
